THE Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) held its annual May Day charity dinner on Tuesday, with President Halimah Yacob as the guest-of-honour.
A total of six items went up for auction, which collected a total of S$45,600 for charity. The top two items sold were a portrait of American golfer Tiger Woods and a Rolex watch, which each fetched S$10,000.
Rolex, an official partner of the event, and sponsor Tote Board have each contributed a sum of S$100,000, which had the theme "Giving from the Heart".
