SINGAPORE'S top online platform selling contemporary Asian art continues on its expansion path. On Monday, The Artling (theartling.com) announced that it had secured funding of S$2.5million from investor Edipresse Media and acquired Chinese art website Artshare.com.
The move means that Edipresse Media, best known for publishing the Tatler magazine across Asia, now owns a share of The Artling, a website selling works by more than 850 Asian artists. Started in 2013 by Talenia Phua Gajardo, The Artling's client base includes Twitter, Google, GIC and the Four Seasons Hotel.
