MANY local companies have established themselves overseas, and it is a source of pride to see Singapore brands on foreign soil.

But while we’re all familiar with the big players, from banks and property developers to hotels and food and beverage names, there are also small and medium-sized enterprises that are making inroads abroad, but flying under the radar.

In Friday’s (Aug 9) edition of BT Lifestyle, we speak to a few of these companies to find out their experience overseas, the difference they bring and how they view Singapore’s place on the global stage.

Speaking of national pride, we check out 59 things you can do to celebrate the nation’s 59th birthday this long weekend.

In Dining, we’re told that you haven’t tried real Greek food until you’ve had it at the new Estiatorio Milos at Marina Bay Sands. We find out what the hype is all about and whether a sea bass tastes better if it comes from Jurong Port or is air-flown from the Mediterranean Sea.

Read all this and more in Friday’s issue of The Business Times.
