IT was a comeback worthy of winning any golf tournament.
South Korea's world No 1 Ko Jin-young staged a late first-nine rally with birdies on the eighth and ninth holes at the Sentosa Golf Club on Sunday (Mar 6), and carried on that momentum after the turn with five birdies to shoot a six-under 66 for a 17-under 271 total.
That was enough for the 26-year-old to clinch the US$1.7 million HSBC Women's World Championship, and claim the winner's prize purse of US$255,000.
