JUST eight months ago, the National Stadium in Kallang - the crown jewel of the Singapore Sports Hub - was rocking as well over 80,000 people packed the venue for two sold-out concerts by Irish band U2.
In July last year, the same stadium was where more than 100,000 football fans witnessed the superstars of Manchester United, Juventus, Inter-Milan and Tottenham Hotspur in action during the International Champions Cup tournament.
