Spotlight on Indian and Indonesian artists
With simultaneous physical and virtual exhibitions, STPI hopes the works can be viewed in new contexts
INDONESIAN and Indian artists take centre stage in two STPI exhibitions. The blue-chip gallery has pivoted stylishly in the pandemic to showcase the works of its artists physically and virtually at the same time.
The first, opening on Friday, involves five Indonesian heavyweights, namely Jumaldi Alfi, Eko Nugroho, Handiwirman Saputra, Melati Suryodarmo and Entang Wiharso. Their works will be showcased simultaneously at ArtSpace@Helutrans in Tanjong Pagar Distripark and on the STPI and Artsy websites.
Two more Indonesian legends, Srihadi Soedarsono and Sunaryo Soetono, will have works sold online only.
