Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon to adopt evening race format

PARTICIPANTS in this year's Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) can look forward to picturesque views of the Singapore skyline at night, following the SCSM's announcement at a launch on Tuesday that the Marathon, Half Marathon and Ekiden distances, traditionally held in the early hours of the morning, will now flag off at 6.00pm.

This is in line with efforts for the SCSM to be inducted into the Abbott World Marathon Majors (WMM), a series of the largest and most renowned marathons worldwide.
