MANY Singaporeans would have recently returned from vacations around the world. They might have visited a familiar place, or ventured to a new destination. What’s certain is that thoughts would already be turning to where to head to this year.

In Friday’s edition of BT Lifestyle, we sift through the various reports to bring you the trends that will drive how people will explore the world in 2025. From the simple pleasures of stargazing and vintage shopping to male-bonding and multi-generational travel, there are adventures aplenty awaiting the globetrotting Singaporean.

In Design, we visit a shophouse belonging to prominent Hainanese immigrant, Wee Cheow Keng, which has been given a complete makeover. Meanwhile in Arts, Singapore Art Week 2025 will run from Jan 17 to 26, with over 100 events across the island. We check out the best shows that have already opened to capitalise on the buzz.

And in Dining, Ace Tan brings his take on progressive Asian food to the new restaurant Asu in Labrador Hill. We get a taste to see what it’s all about.
