WHEN FRENCH FASHION house Chanel decided to create a watch version of its iconic 2.55 bag, the result was the Chanel Code Coco, framed in a stainless steel case held by a steel bracelet.
Launched last year - fittingly in Gabrielle Chanel's apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris - Chanel subsequently offered a diamond version with a hefty price tag (US$9,100 or almost twice the price of the basic timepiece).
In August 2018, the luxury house unveiled its latest Code Coco watch - with striking publicity videos shot at the Ritz Hotel, Ms Chanel's other defacto home in Paris.
