Colour, as its name suggests, also defines MB&F's new Legacy Machine No 2 Red Gold Blue. Though it was first unveiled in 2013, the LM2 remains one of the most forward-looking expressions of traditional mechanical watch-making in the market. It traces its origins to over 250 years ago, to three of the greatest watchmakers in history: Abraham-Louis Breguet, Ferdinand Berthoud and Antide Janvier. These three have all constructed clocks and watches with two balances, which inspired LM2's double balance wheels. The first LM2 appeared in red gold, white gold and platinum. A limited 18 pieces in titanium with a green dial were added in 2017, followed by 12 pieces in white gold with purple face in 2018. LM2 in red gold and blue dial, limited to 12 pieces, is the latest to join the line.
