Your eyes are not playing tricks on you - Audemars Piguet's new Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique only has one hand. Also, thanks to the new self-winding calibre 3140, the single hour indicator doesn't move in a circle; it follows the trajectory of the watch's signature elliptical case because it's mounted on a transparent disc on the dial. It reflects the manufacturer's DNA of breaking rules in watchmaking and is inspired by the original hand-wound Philosophique watch introduced in 1982. Available in18-carat pink or white gold with satin brushing and Frosted Gold finishing technique by Florentine jewellery designer Carolina Bucci, the watch is the latest addition to Audemars Piguet's Millenary collection which first appeared in 1995 for men before making its ladies' debut three years later. Since 2015, it has become an exclusively female range.
