Supporting Local Artists and Artisans
Covid-19 has wiped out the incomes of creatives. Here's one way to help.
THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC has wreaked havoc in all but a few industries. And the extension of the circuit breaker has been especially hard on freelance creatives. Carousell, the online marketplace for both new and secondhand products, recently launched a new platform to support Singapore artists and artisans through this crisis.
Its Made In SG marketplace focuses on supporting local creatives in the Media, Arts, Design and Entertainment (MADE) industries. They pay nothing to list their products online, which may include artworks, handcrafted items, services and online courses.
Carousell gives them additional help by boosting their listings on its front page.
