Time for Art
Art meets haute horlogerie in Then Now Beyond, The Hour Glass's new exhibition that celebrates watch culture. Held at Malmaison, it features a selection of commissioned Objets D'Art by design stalwarts like Daniel Arsham, Marc Newson, nendo and Studio Wieki Somers. Milan-based JoAnn Tan Studio, which specialises in window display, installations, scenography and set design, has transformed the 8,000 sq ft space at Malmaison to take visitors on a journey through the past, present and future; while challenging their everyday perceptions of time. Among the highlights are Marc Newson's reinterpretation of the hourglass and nendo's cuboid shaped clock. A curated selection of commemorative edition watches developed with long-standing partners of The Hour Glass like Audemars Piguet, Chopard, Franck Muller, MB&F, URWERK, Ulysse Nardin and more will also be exhibited.
Then Now Beyond is on at Malmaison by The Hour Glass (270 Orchard Road) until Jan 31 2020.
