'Succession' tops Emmy nominations with 25

    HBO’s Succession topped this year’s Emmy nominations, earning 25 nods at television’s equivalent of the Oscars.

    The show about a rich, powerful family vying to inherit a media empire led the drama category, while Ted Lasso and The White Lotus topped the comedy and limited series categories with 20 nominations each.

    Squid Game, Netflix’s wildly popular South Korean show, became the first non-English-language show to secure a nomination in the best drama category. AFP
