W ITH superhero films becoming a dime a dozen in cinemas (and now even on TV), it's increasingly difficult to be excited at the prospect of another one popping up at the multiplex.

The first one of the year, Logan, is already on the big screens; and features Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine one last time after playing the same character in nine movies over 17 years.

Needless to say, he's made the role his own and on board to give the furry X-Men anti-hero a poignant sendoff is once again writer-director James Mangold, who also helmed The Wolverine (2013).
