Team SunMoon in a galaxy of its own
They win the BT Corporate Golf League for the 3rd straight year, creating a hard act for others to follow. By Justine Moss
AFTER six rounds of competition stretching over three months, players from 20 teams which took part in The Business Times Corporate Golf League 2014 let their hair down and partied at a grand finale dinner on Wednesday. Entertained by the three-man band Reverie at the Sentosa Pavilion fronting the Serapong Course, the 160 golfers who gathered for cocktails and dinner saw Team SunMoon once again hoist the winner's trophy - for the third straight year. The team's delighted captain Gary Loh revealed the secret of his team's success: "We kept to our plan. we knew we wanted to keep our feet on the accelerator and it was executed according to the plan, and I am really happy and delighted that we did it."
He said that the team would probably come back under the social category next year, and definitely continue as a sponsor. "It's a great networking event and that's what this game is all about," he said.
Team SPH Sultans of Swing were second in the Open Category, followed by Tat Hong's The Crane Boomers and Team Citi and Team Emerio. In Category A, Audi quattro topped the table, followed by Team Boustead, Team KPMG, Singapore Pools and Team Centurion. Patrick Daniel, editor-in-chief of the English and Malay Newspapers Division of Singapore Press Holdings, acknowledged the support of both the participating teams and the many sponsors.
