    The Perpetual 1908

THE Perpetual 1908 collection, introduced in 2023 as a tribute to traditional horological styling, welcomes a new iteration that focuses on luxurious elegance and wearability.

The 18-carat yellow gold version of this new timepiece, featuring an intense white dial, is now accompanied by a wholly integrated metal bracelet.

The brand new Settimo bracelet is made entirely from 18-carat yellow gold. It is composed of rows of seven very small, polished links, offering a surprisingly light and supple feel on the wrist. This design echoes the refined, jewellery-inspired bracelets of vintage watches.

The 39 mm case maintains its graceful lines and signature aesthetic, including a transparent case-back allowing a view of the Calibre 7140, a self-winding movement released specifically for this model in 2023.

The Superlative Chronometer certified movement features exquisite finishing, including bridges decorated with the distinct Rolex Cotes de Geneve pattern, and provides a power reserve of approximately 66 hours.

The dial is in the same shade of green as the lower half of the two-colour green-and-black Cerachrom bezel insert. Creating it is done in the same way as dials in natural stone: by fitting a disc of material onto a brass plate.

Its crown and crown guard are positioned on the left side of the case; the date aperture and the Cyclops lens are at nine o’clock, giving the watch an unconventional “left-handed” aesthetic.

Powering this dual-time-zone instrument is the self-winding mechanical Calibre 3285, which boasts about 70 hours of power reserve.

The robust 40 mm Oyster case guarantees water resistance up to 100 m, while the three-piece link Oyster bracelet features the Oysterlock safety clasp and includes patented ceramic components within the links, enhancing durability and ease of wear.

The watch also carries the Superlative Chronometer certification, promising highly accurate performance within a tolerance of ±2 seconds daily.

    The Oyster Perpetual

Rolex has injected a fresh, contemporary appeal into the quintessential Oyster Perpetual line by introducing three new dial shades that are noteworthy for their soft, muted pastel colours paired with a smooth, matt lacquer finish.

These calming tones include a subtle lavender on the Oyster Perpetual 28; a sandy beige hue gracing the Oyster Perpetual 36; and a fresh pistachio green for the Oyster Perpetual 41. The latter incidentally also benefits from subtle structural updates, including a refined Oyster case design and a slenderer Oysterclasp, resulting in more harmonious lines.

These timepieces, direct descendants of the original waterproof Oyster wristwatch launched in 1926, uphold the collection’s core tenets of chronometric precision and the reliable Oyster case, which remains waterproof to 100 m.

The 28 mm variant is driven by the Calibre 2232, featuring the patented Syloxi hairspring. Meanwhile, the 36 mm and 41 mm versions house the Calibre 3230, which boasts the patented Chronergy escapement and provides an approximate 70-hour power reserve.

All the watches carry the prestigious Rolex green seal, a symbol of its Superlative Chronometer status.
