The perils of coming out
TIM Garner is no longer surprised when some he meets for the first time immediately assumes he's gay. Especially after they find out that he works as an actor in the theatre industry.
It's no problem, grins the Lasalle College of the Arts graduate. "It's not an insult".
For the record though, he isn't. However, most of his closest friends are, which is why the issues faced by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community are very close to his heart.
