Theatre hits the streets
Street theatre, home design and modern Japanese dining in BTLifestyle on Friday
WATCHING a play is no longer about sitting in front of a stage as 'walking theatre' becomes the latest way to appreciate the performing arts. Theatre companies began staging plays out in the streets to capture new audiences when pandemic restrictions were in force, but it's since become a genre of its own. In tomorrow's BTLifestyle, we look at how the likes of Singapore Repertory Theatre, DramaBox and Sight Line are giving drama a new spin in open spaces with great natural weather and scenery as backdrops.
In Design, we visit a home with a view and plenty of privacy, and pick out some great reads for Mother's Day. Meanwhile, watch lovers get starry-eyed with the latest sapphire timepieces and in Dining, we sample the modern Japanese fare at Tetsuya Wakuda's new restaurant, Wakuda.
