Now that Fifa plans 48-nation tournament for Finals from the year 2026, Singapore should start thinking big

    THERE was belief, laced with hope, when the highly-ambitious Goal 2010 was launched in late 1996.

    There was also slight optimism because the Government and then-Singapore prime minister Goh Chok Tong lent their weight to the historic idea.
