WHEN it comes to beverage fads and unexpected flavour combinations, the realm of bubble tea can more than hold its own against that of cocktails. Laid-back Robertson Quay bar The 3 Peas offers concoctions for those who want the best of both worlds.

"Back then there was the bubble tea craze, so when we decided to create something different, we thought: why not alcoholic bubble tea?" says Zheng Pan, one of three co-founders.

While bubble tea brand HEYTEA offers boozy brews at its Clarke Quay outlet, The 3 Peas comes at this from the other direction, with its origins in the cocktail rather than tea scene.
