1. Make it yours: There's no greater deterrent to a good sleep than a bedroom that you hate. Identifying the look that makes you feel good is the first step. You may be drawn to serene, or indulgent, minimalist, romantic or revitalising. Select the elements that work together to foster the atmosphere that works best for you.
2. Get the bedding right: The mattress and pillows that support you best will depend on your sleeping position, posture and even the sports you play. Consider your personal habits, research your options and buy the best you can afford. After all, we spend a third of our lives in bed!
