Street culture gets some R-E-S-P-E-C-T at the first Culture Cartel, a convention that features toys, tattoos, street fashion, graffiti, indie bands and other often-dismissed aspects of our culture. The trade show brings the best street culture from Asia and around the world, with panel discussions on streetwear and social media, and live stage performances by local artistes such as rapper Masia and DJ Aldrin.
There's also a hip art installation by Joshua Vides in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, a tattoo showdown between local and regional tattoo artists, and the first VR graffiti battle in Asia using Google technology. If you're too cool for school, this is the place to be.
Culture Cartel runs at the F1 Pit Building on Dec 1 and 2 from 11am to 9pm. Tickets from S$20 available on https://culturecartel.com
