MANY surveys over the last few years seem to lead to the same conclusion – that Singapore employees are stressed, sleep-deprived and burnt out. Not only do they clock the longest hours every week in the Asia-Pacific, new research shows that nearly a quarter of them often work past official hours. In Friday’s edition of BT Lifestyle, we find out how we got to this point, whether flexi-work arrangements help or hinder the search for work-life balance, and if the antidote to exhaustion lies in the right to disconnect.

In Health, we learn about the effects of environmental changes on children’s heart health, and the precautions to take to lower the risk.

In Arts, Kim Lim, the late and often overlooked Singapore-born British sculptor, is getting a long-overdue show at National Gallery Singapore. We tell you more about the landmark exhibition celebrating four decades of her practice and more than 150 works.

For all this and more, don’t miss Friday’s issue of BT.
