All aboard the Orient Express
The iconic train that once connected Europe and the Middle East makes a stop in Singapore.
IN the 1974 film version of Agatha Christie's Murder On The Orient Express, Jacqueline Bisset arrives at the train station in a luxurious white mink coat, in what's been described as one of the most glamorous entrances captured on celluloid. Lauren Bacall sashays from one carriage to another wearing opulent jewellery and extravagant jackets. Michael York dons immaculate three-piece suits.
As everyone on board the mythical Orient Express train knows, there's no such thing as being overdressed here.
For over 100 years, the Orient Express has hosted every manner of celebrity, from The Rolling Stones to J K Rowling. And, come December, the luxury train hopes to host you too, as it stops by in Singapore for an exhibition titled Once Upon A Time On The Orient Express.
