Bali Deal
After an extensive renovation, the Longhouse boutique resort in Bali's Jimbaran Bay has re-opened as a six-suite-only luxury getaway that takes you away from the tourist traps of Seminyak and Kuta. Designed by acclaimed Indonesian architect Popo Danes, each suite overlooks the treetops of Jimbaran and boasts its own unique design. Named after different Indonesian islands such as Sumatra, Lombok and of course Bali, indigenous materials and handicraft such as bamboo, volcanic stone and ikat tapestry feature in the furniture, bathrooms or bedrooms. Given its small size, expect personalised attention from the staff who offer everything from cooking classes to in-house massage and village tours. There's also a home theatre and infinity pool to lounge in and enough dining options to keep you occupied throughout your stay. You can book individual suites or book the entire resort if you're travelling with a group of friends. Prices start at a competitive US$190 a night, inclusive of airport transfer.
First-time guests enjoy 20 per cent off for stays of three nights or more until Dec 31. Bookings must be made before Sept 1, and the offer is valid on individual room and direct bookings only. Enter the promo code SAVEMYROOM or e-mail info@thelonghousebali.com with the promo code if your trip is more than two months away.
