AS THE MANAGING director for Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold in Asia, Anthony Lim wants to set the record straight that what many people may still perceive as coach touring in the 1980s has now evolved into a service for customers who seek the finer things in life.
Exotic destinations such as Egypt, Jordan and Peru are rising in popularity, with more travellers preferring to travel on guided holidays to these destinations, especially when safety and security matter most. Having a local guide who can help navigate local language barriers also makes it much more efficient and less stressful.
"We have noticed that our premium holidays are growing in strength for well-travelled globetrotters seeking standout holidays," said Mr Lim. "We have seen a rise of about 15 per cent from last year, with more multi-generational families choosing to book holidays as they seek peace of mind and prefer to spend their valuable holiday time having fun exploring new places with their loved ones."
