Wanderlust
Ling Doh Kin, an avid photographer and founding editor of electronic travel magazine Bigfoottraveller.com, is holding his first photo exhibition, which will have visitors rushing to make holiday bookings immediately after.
Titled "Shine", the exhibition features 30 photographs taken in less-explored areas of Cuba, Morocco, Tunisia, Ecuador, Iceland, China and the Faroe Islands, depicting varying vignettes of local culture and its people filled with captivating positive energy. Some photographs will be paired with an eclectic range of design collectibles from the photograph's country of origin. For instance, visitors will be able to see and touch a hand stitched leather bag and chairs that Ling bought in Morocco, and a beautiful collection of scarves and throws from the Faroe Islands and Tunisia. He says that these tactile elements add another dimension to the art of storytelling, transporting the visitor to a certain time and place in his journeys.
Limited quantities of the photographs will also be on sale.
