ONE of the judges' favourite entries of the 13-19 Art Prize is a beautifully delicate and poignant papercut-on-canvas work titled Home by 18-year-old Lucius Yeo Jun Jue.
It illustrates the plight of ageing Singaporeans who feel alienated from their families because of the physical and emotional changes they are going through.
Yeo, a student at St Joseph's Institution, says: "Although I'm depicting the same HDB (Housing Development Board flat) space, every room is disconnected from the other by its different perspective and symbolic door sills that obstruct, exploring loneliness of elderly even with family.
