EVER wanted to try your hand at writing a play? Leading theatre company TheatreWorks is holding a playwriting course next week to attract potential playwrights just like you.
TheatreWorks managing director Tay Tong says: "We think there's a lot of writing talent among white-collar professionals and executives working in various industries. They may not want to become full-time playwrights because they prefer the stability of a corporate job. But they have creativity and a voice that can be channelled into writing a play for us. So we're casting our net wide to find these potential talents."
The course fee is only S$200, and the week-long course takes place every day next week from 7-10pm, Monday to Friday, plus a day-long session on Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
