Warm welcomes at Sago House

Each week's cocktail range is available in a handy canned form, whether or not prevailing Covid-19 restrictions allow drinking-in

WHEN we're once again allowed to venture out for drinks and discoveries, consider making a little trip to the top floor of a Chinatown shophouse.

Spot the chalked symbol on a brightly-painted door with retro glass panes, head up the staircase behind it, and enter Sago House.

From a raucous graffiti mural to the bar's neon-lit "Don't try" slogan, the small space bursts with colour and joie de vivre. If you're not up to chatting at the bar or the couches facing it, there's a quieter area for candlelit heart-to-hearts.
