A ballet on the wrist
Van Cleef & Arpels dances with complications and poetry in its latest showpiece.
WHEN it comes to watches, Van Cleef & Arpels takes an unapologetically romantic approach in its Poetic Complications collection.
The timepieces in the collection offer a unique vision of time and storytelling thanks to a mixture of craftsmanship and technical prowess. And the latest expression of the haute jeweller's enduring dance with complications and poetry is the Lady Arpels Ballerine Musicale, a three-piece set of watches that pays homage to ballet.
A signature motif of the brand since the 1940s, ballet has been featured in Van Cleef & Arpels' bejewelled ballerina brooches and horological fancies. The new collection is a re-interpretation of the colours and themes of Jewels, a three-part ballet created in the 1960s by choreographer George Balanchine who also co-founded the New York City Ballet.
