SMALL has become beautiful in the world of watches and French watch brand Bell & Ross, popular for its oversized square watches, is taking note.

“We had to find the best compromise by reducing slightly the size, but not giving up the strong DNA of the watch which is inspired by an aircraft’s cockpit and big shape,” said the brand’s managing director Fabien de Nonancourt in a media interview during a stopover in Singapore.

The latest timepieces in Bell & Ross’ BR 03 collection, the face and “steady pillar” of the brand, have been reduced from 42 mm to 41 mm. When the model was first launched in 2005, it was a whopping 46 mm.
