BT Luxe goes to Tokyo
SPRING is here, and the newest issue of BT Luxe drops this Friday with an exclusive interview with Japanese ingenue Kōki, a rising model-actress who also happens to be the daughter of famed actor Takuya Kimura and his wife, singer Shizuka Kudo. Shot on location in Tokyo at the newly-opened Bulgari Hotel in Ginza, she speaks to BT Luxe about building a career out of the shadow of her parents.
She’s just one in a new generation of young talents and entrepreneurs who are disrupting their respective fields. Besides Kōki, we meet two Singaporeans: Theodoric Chew, whose own struggle with mental health led him to launch his successful startup Intellect, an app that gives users access to self-care content and online counselling; and Sara Ang, a second-generation leader who’s driving her family’s glassmaking company into the future while upholding traditional craftsmanship.
For watch lovers, don’t miss our colourful spotlight on the recently-ended Watches and Wonders show in Geneva, as we bring you the latest novelties to lust after. If wanderlust is more your style, then join us as we visit Tokyo, Antarctica and Hong Kong, while also taking a drive along country roads outside London to explore charming villages and traditional pubs. In Design, get ideas for building your next holiday home, as we talk to acclaimed designer Steve Leung about his pet project, his new home in Niseko, Japan. And don’t forget fashion tips on making the most of the season’s style trends.
