Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 4997/200R-001 The Genevan manufacture expands its range of elegant women’s watches with this glamorous 35mm number (S$51,200) in a regal purple that complements the rose gold case beautifully. Production of the domed dial is a long and meticulous process. Embossed with a concentric wave motif, the underlying base is coated with over 50 layers of translucent purple lacquer. This decor creates such a captivating illusion of depth that the rose-gilt powdered arrow-shaped hour markers and faceted rose gold dauphine hands appear to be suspended. A total of 76 round, internally flawless Top Wesselton diamonds on the bezel enhance the dial’s fascinating radiating pattern, while the vivid shade of the dial is echoed by a purple calfskin strap with a satin finish. The time-only watch is powered by the ultra-thin self-winding calibre 240 with an off-centre 22 karat gold mini-rotor that allows for the timepiece’s elegantly slim case. The movement’s design and exquisite finishing are visible through an exhibition sapphire caseback.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day This rose gold model is the first in the Rendez-Vous Dazzling collection to feature a full diamond-set dial. Available in two variations – one with a red alligator strap (S$112,000) and another with a diamond-set pink gold bracelet (price on application) – both timepieces flaunt grain-set diamonds in concentric circles that radiate from the dial’s centre, as well as two rings of diamonds forming the bezel, a Rendez-Vous Dazzling signature. With 590 diamonds totalling 4.67 carats, the dial and case represent 58 hours of meticulous gem-setting work. The Night & Day mechanism distils the 24-hour cycle into a captivating display. Set on a mother-of-pearl disc that rotates as day turns to night, a polished golden sun alternates with a crescent moon set against a background of stars. Housed in a 36mm case is the calibre 898, an automatic mechanical movement designed, developed and produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre. A transparent sapphire caseback reveals the inner mechanism’s fine decoration and finishing.

Omega Planet Ocean 600M We’re told that women in Singapore looking for a serious dive tech watch opt for this 39.5 mm model (S$10,650) as it’s just the right size for smaller wrists to don in water and for everyday wear. Part of the new collection that celebrates the Omega Seamaster’s 75th year, this iteration with a date aperture boasts the all-new Summer Blue hue that is featured in varying degrees to reflect each watch’s water resistance. Powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8900, this version has a case and bracelet cast in stainless steel. A blue ceramic bezel with a light blue diving scale encircles the Summer Blue ceramic dial, which is PVD-treated and varnished with a gradient finish, then topped off with blued hands and indexes filled with a unique light blue Super-Luminova. Another cool highlight of this commemorative range is the Seamaster logo of Poseidon and two seahorses adorning the caseback of each model.
