SINGAPOREANS may not have been able to travel for the past two years, but it doesn't mean they've stopped thinking about it. In fact, for a selected group of frustrated travellers, the urge to travel has gone beyond just planning their dream holiday, but buying an actual holiday home.

In tomorrow's BTLifestyle, we look at how the pandemic has actually increased the appetite for vacation homes. Overseas property developers are noticing healthy sales of resort properties in hotspots such as the Swiss Alps or Hokkaido ski resorts, as well as beach villas closer to home. And unlike pre-Covid when such buyers would look at pure numbers, like yields and returns, they're looking more at second homes to get away from the city and enjoy the great outdoors. And of course, a safe place to quarantine should they need it.

Meanwhile, in Design, we visit the Waste Refinery exhibition to see how creatives put rubbish to good use. In Arts, we take a peek at superstar artist KAWS' new sculpture in Marina Bay. In Watches, find out who the big winners are at the watch world's version of the Oscars. Finally, in Dining, we get a taste of upscale Israeli cooking at North Miznon.
