    Zeitwerk

THE Zeitwerk is instantly recognisable today because of its popularity and 2 signature features prominent on the dial: a digital display and a time bridge.

The digital display is mechanically powered and exhibits precisely jumping numerals. The time bridge is made of German silver, traditionally used by Lange for frame parts such as bridges and cocks. By using this material for the time bridge, the brand makes it clear that it is a component of the movement.

At the same time, the time bridge also serves as a platform for all time indications. The apertures with the large hour and minute displays are arranged from left to right. This sets the Zeitwerk apart from the analogue mechanical watches and establishes a category of its own.

Since its launch in 2009, the Zeitwerk family has grown to 8 different models that are luminous. They indicate the time acoustically and show the date as well.

The first Zeitwerk timepiece is endowed with a precisely jumping digital display that indicates the hour and minutes with jumping numerals.

The Zeitwerk "Luminous" (limited 100), released in 2010, makes the switching processes of the jumping numerals discs visible even in the dark with an intense glow - thanks to a semi-transparent sapphire-crystal dial with a patented special coating.

The Zeitwerk Striking Time (limited 100/platinum version) presented in 2011 is Lange's first acoustically indicating watch, which is fitted with a striking mechanism that can be seen on the dial side and indicates the quarter-hours, as well as the full hours.

The Zeitwerk Handwerkskunst (limited 30) introduced in 2012 is a showcase of traditional craftsmanship that has hand-engraved art-work on the case, dial and movement.

The Zeitwerk Minute Repeater rolled out in 2015 is a chiming watch where, at a touch of a button, the acoustic indication will harmonise with the digital display of each elapsed hour, each elapsed 10-minute period and each elapsed minute.

The Zeitwerk Decimal Strike unveiled in 2017 is the third model in the Zeitwerk collection that boasts an acoustic time indication, but this one comes in a special Honeygold case.

The Zeitwerk Date marks the 10th anniversary of Zeitwerk with a new movement that delivers 72 hours of power reserve, twice that of previous Zeitwerk timepieces. It's also equipped with an additional function: a ring-shaped date display.

Finally, this year's Zeitwerk Honeygold "Lumen" is encased not only in the special Honeygold but also the specially developed, semi-transparent dial that makes the luminous jumping numerals display fully visible.
