When working from home-away-from-home ...

Published Wed, Jun 16, 2021 · 09:50 PM

WORKING from home has taken on a new meaning for younger working professionals. As in, they are working from home, just not in their own home - as in the family abode where bedrooms are too small and where taking work calls during mealtimes is a challenge when parents are disruptive. With some companies giving up their office leases or work-from-home becoming a semi-permanent affair, more Singaporeans are moving out, not into conventional apartments but co-living spaces and serviced residences, usually the domain of expats.

In tomorrow's BTLifestyle, we look at the new living arrangements of working locals and how the trend is boosting an otherwise flagging property sector hit by an absence of short-stay foreigners.

In the Arts, we check out Art Basel online, with its exhibition of hundreds of works reflecting on the pandemic.
