Watches at the Oscars
From high-jewellery showpieces to an unreleased timepiece, here’s what Hollywood’s leading men wore to the 98th Academy Awards
Hudson Williams: Bvlgari Serpenti Tubogas 103434
Actor Hudson Williams, star of the hit steamy ice hockey TV series Heated Rivalry, pulled off a Serpenti Tubogas watch in a 35 mm stainless steel curved case set with diamonds.
The Bvlgari signature timepiece, traditionally worn by women, features a black guilloche soleil dial, a cabochon-cut rubellite crown and the collection’s signature single-spiral bracelet.
Williams, who has just been cast in Netflix’s upcoming scammer drama The Altruists, complemented the look with a high-jewellery brooch and white gold B.zero1 rings, both also from the Italian luxury maison.
Nicholas Hoult: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds
English actor Nicholas Hoult kept things classy with a refined interpretation of an Art Deco icon.
His Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface “Or Deco” comes in 18-karat pink gold, paired with a Milanese link bracelet and a grained dial that mirrors the warmth of the case. The tones also perfectly complemented the X-Men star’s newly dyed blonde hair.
Chris Evans: Chopard LUC XPS
Captain America chose an ultra-thin LUC XPS in 18-karat rose gold from Chopard to keep things simple yet elegant.

Known for its clean lines and refined proportions, the dress watch was paired with matching Ice Cube Collection cufflinks – also from Chopard – to reinforce a cohesive, polished aesthetic.
Joe Alwyn: Hublot Classic Fusion Essential Grey 42 mm
Joe Alwyn similarly opted for contemporary minimalism with the Classic Fusion Essential Grey 42 mm, an e-commerce exclusive model. True to Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” philosophy, the watch balances modern materials with an understated grey monochromatic palette.
Alwyn, who was in a 6.5-year relationship with Taylor Swift, starred in Hamnet. The historical drama about Shakespeare and his wife coping with the death of their son took home the best actress Oscar for Jessie Buckley.
Simu Liu: Zenith GFJ (unreleased)
At the Vanity Fair after-party, Simu Liu wore one of the evening’s most intriguing pieces: a yet-to-be-announced GFJ, named after Zenith founder Georges Favre-Jacot.
The watch is powered by the historic Calibre 135, one of the most decorated movements from the golden era of observatory chronometry competitions. The historic model made a comeback last year as part of Zenith’s 160th anniversary.
More details of Liu’s mystery watch are expected when the brand announces its novelties at the luxury watch fair Watches and Wonders 2026 in Geneva next month.
