THE recent Jakarta Art Fair ended with a bang as capacity returned to pre-Covid levels, showing that art is alive and kicking in the Indonesian capital. But even if art lovers missed the show, the city itself is home to a buzzing art scene that’s worth checking out. In tomorrow’s issue of BTLifestyle, we offer a guide to some of the best art spaces for every taste – from independent galleries to top museums.

Meanwhile, in the local arts scene, Wild Rice’s new play, Pulau Ujong, tackles the topic of climate change. In Watches, we feature highlights of the recent Geneva Watch Days fair. And in Dining, get a taste of modern Chinese cooking at the new eatery Chez Kai.
