Tag Heuer redefines precision and performance
Groundbreaking releases at Geneva Watch Days 2025 fuse advanced materials, celestial design and digital innovation
TO MARK a new chapter in its journey of avant-garde watchmaking, Tag Heuer unveiled two milestone launches at this year’s Geneva Watch Days: the TH-Carbonspring oscillator and the Tag Heuer Carrera Astronomer.
Developed at the Tag Heuer LAB, the TH-Carbonspring oscillator has been 10 years in the making. This revolutionary hairspring is crafted from carbon composite and delivers three key advantages over traditional materials.
For one, it is resistant to magnetism, a significant property in an age where our everyday devices emit strong magnetic fields. It is also shock-resistant and exceptionally lightweight, which reduces inertia in a hairspring, in turn increasing chronometric performance.

The TH-Carbonspring makes its debut in two limited-edition models, each available in only 50 numbered pieces.
The Tag Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring boasts a 39 mm carbon case.
Under this beats the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres-certified TH20-60 automatic flyback chronograph. The in-house movement has a power reserve of 80 hours.

Meanwhile, the Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring features the Calibre TH20-61 automatic chronograph with 65 hours’ power reserve.
This is all seated in a 44 mm forged carbon case with a tachymeter bezel.
Carrera Astronomer
Complementing the carbon-age innovation, Tag Heuer has also introduced the Carrera Astronomer, a contemporary reimagining of the moonphase complication.
The 39 mm models are powered by the Calibre 7 automatic movement and sport a design that favours scientific clarity over romance. This is conveyed through a rotating disc at the 6 o’clock position, which displays seven lunar stages that advance in sync with the moon’s movement.
The Carrera Astronomer is available in three editions.
The first is in stainless steel with a silver dial and black moonphase disc on a steel bracelet. The second, limited to 500 pieces, comes in steel with futuristic turquoise accents and a grey leather strap. The third is a two-tone steel and 18-karat 5N rose gold-plated limited edition – also of 500 pieces – with a tone-on-tone lunar display.
Connected Calibre E5
Debuting a decade after Tag Heuer introduced its first Connected Watch, the E5 represents the manufacture’s most refined expression of its digital craftsmanship.
Available in 45 mm and 40 mm cases, the Connected Calibre E5 sports sharper lines and reworked pushers that yield a sleeker silhouette. The material palette spans polished steel, black DLC-coated titanium and rose gold, with domed sapphire crystals and ceramic bezels that recall the brand’s Carrera and Aquaracer families.
Inside, the Tag Heuer OS provides a sleeker, faster digital experience with streamlined menus, customisable widgets and improved legibility. Battery life now stretches up to three days on the 45 mm model, while a full “Made for iPhone” certification ensures complete cross-platform compatibility.
Connected Calibre E5 x New Balance edition
Taking it a step further, the Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E5 40 mm x New Balance Edition pairs Swiss precision with athletic discipline in a smartwatch that feels as engineered for the track as it is for daily life.
Its sandblasted finish resists glare, while deep violet accents reference the signature FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 running shoes created for this launch.
The newly developed Cushion Comfort System strap combines a rubber case band with a high-tech textile from the shoe’s inlay, delivering comfort and a distinctly modern look.
Dual-band GNSS and advanced heart-rate sensors provide pinpoint feedback, while preloaded New Balance training plans guide runners from their first mile to a marathon.
Visually, the interface adopts the same athletic vocabulary with a 0-to-100 scale on the dial that corresponds with app-based performance metrics, translating pace into immediate feedback.
