Tudor sees red for Chinese New Year
Add a dash of colour and style to your festive outfit with watches in auspicious hues
Black Bay
With a bezel in deep burgundy, the Black Bay doesn’t just suit the occasion – it is also one of the most recognised models in Tudor’s catalogue.
While the model was rolled out in 2012, the inspiration for it dates back to the Tudor divers’ watches of the 1950s. The latter’s presence in the Black Bay today is seen in the angular hands (known by collectors as “snowflake” hands) as well as the shoulderless crown and spring bar hold that passes through the lugs – all key features of the early-generation divers’ models.
With a new in-house movement installed in 2016, the Black Bay has entered its third evolution. The model remains at 41 mm with a slimmer profile, but can now be worn with a satin-brushed three-link bracelet, a five-oval-shaped-link brushed and polished steel bracelet, or a black rubber strap. All are built with the Tudor “T-fit” clasp for rapid adjustment.

Tudor Royal
Instead of deep red, go a shade lighter with this stainless steel model highlighting a soft salmon-pink dial that will turn heads at the reunion dinner table.
The watch comes from Tudor’s Royal collection, which has been a showcase of superior quality since its launch in the 1950s. Touted as affordable sport-chic, a Royal timepiece has an integrated metal bracelet, a notched or diamond-set bezel, as well as a dial with applied Roman numeral hour markers.

Black Bay Chrono Blue Boutique Edition
If red isn’t your colour but you don’t want to stray too far from the auspicious colour spectrum, opt for a neutral blue. This Black Bay chronograph watch lends a cool hue to your wrist that stands out in its own way.
As the name suggests, blue gives character to this model. “Tudor Blue”, to be precise. Over the years, the brand has introduced several shades of blue in a number of designs, which led to the concept of Tudor Blue – which is not a specific reference to the colour but a highlight of its permanence in the watchmaker’s signature aesthetics.
The Black Bay Chrono is already a daring design. The Tudor Blue dial of this boutique exclusive adds a distinctive, brand-specific character that makes it even more special.
