We need 'herd confidence' to reopen fully, and safely

ACROSS the globe, vaccinations are seen as a game changer that will control the Covid-19 pandemic and pave the way for countries and economies to fully reopen.

In recent months, Singapore's vaccination programme has progressed steadily with more than 1.1 million doses of the vaccine administered and more than 310,000 people completing both courses since Dec 30.

And so, restrictions are being eased with up to 75 per cent of staff now able to return to the workplace, raising hopes that slowly but surely, a sense of normalcy will return.
