Where is the best place to live in the world? It's Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, according to the Deutsche Bank Liveable City index which ranks world cities in categories such as safety in the city, health care, cost of living, pollution and climate. Wellington beat Zurich (2nd), Copenhagen (3rd), Edinburgh (4th) and Vienna (5th). Even if you have no plans to live there just yet, Wellington is a fun place to visit with plenty of things to do.

Tourism New Zealand recommends visiting Te Papa o Tongarewa, the national museum, to get an insight of the people, culture and environment. Nature lovers should head to Zealandia, the world's first fully-fenced urban ecosanctuary. For souvenir shopping, head to Fix and Fogg, which sells supposedly the best peanut butter. There are the classics like smooth and crunchy and more exotic flavours such as smoke and fire, and honey flavours.
