French flair

The art of French dining comes to life at a new exhibition at the Alliance Francaise to celebrate different aspects of the country's rich cuisine culture. Among the highlights of 'A Table' are exquisite table settings by well known brands such as Christofle, Baccarat and Bernadaud. Visitors will get to see historical menus from state banquets hosted by the French president for Asian leaders. There are also etiquette workshops to brush up on your table setting skills, champagne and wine tastings, and a curated list of gourmet-themed movies to whet your appetite. Guillaume Gomez, former chef of the Elysée Palace and official French gastronomy representive, is also on hand as a patron of the event. The exhibition ends on May 3. - by Jaime Ee
