What's Up This Week
Christmas feasts
It's beginning to taste a lot like Christmas, and old-faithful Cold Storage has a list of traditional favourites and international treats for the festive dinner table. Its classic Christmas spread has the all-familiar smoked turkey, bone-in ham, sausage platters and duck pate truffle, not to mention the evergreen Butterball roasted turkey which is ready-cooked and a cinch to put together at home.
For a contemporary twist, Christmas meatloaf wreath is inspired by the western classic, while colonial chicken casserole features pineapple chunks and curried cream sauce. Swedish meatballs, quiche and ratatouille have European origins, while turkey mala pot pie gives the conventional pie a hint of spice. End your feast with a typically Singaporean fragrant pandan-infused kueh salat.
