Heart & Seoul
Since Seoul is off limits for now thanks to the Covid-19 outbreak, you can still get a taste of it when Korean chef Louis Han teams up with Singaporean chef Ace Tan in a four-hands collaboration that puts a modern twist on traditional healthy cooking. Chef Tan helms the new progressive Asian restaurant 1-V:U in Sentosa, while Chef Han is the former head chef of mod-Korean eatery Kimme. Their two-night collaboration will see the two reimagine old-school healthy brews such as Chef Tan's take on the herbal black chicken in his Ginseng Poultry Essence and Pickled Goji Berries. In turn, Chef Han updates Korean soups like Yeongpotang -a South Jeolla Province speciality made with live octopus - but with already cooked cephalopods. Priced at $148 for 10 courses with wine, this is one way to stay healthy the gourmet way. - Jaime Ee
