Seafood with an Asian slant is on the menu at Catfish - a new eatery by chef-entreprenuer Andrew Walsh of Cure. It's the fifth outlet under Cure Concepts which includes the flagship restaurant, Butcher Boy, Bao Boy and Ember Beach Club in Desaru. The contemporary grill and raw bar is located on Gemmill Lane and opened on Oct 1 under the helm of Swedish chef Erik Gustafsson.

A raw bar turns out sashimi creations such as hamachi with ponzu and nashi pear, while bigger appetites are catered for with the likes of grilled whole Sichuan BBQ seabass in a lobster-based sauce inspired by laksa, or more familiar fish and chips. For a weekend treat, check out its Saturday and Sunday brunches which kick off with champagne and oysters. - by Jaime Ee
