Why OCBC's Sunny Quek is pounding pavements but not chasing miles
Avid runner Sunny Quek takes a sensible approach to fitness, staying mobile and in prime condition. He's also lost 20kg in a year
I BLAME my tailor for my current obsession with fitness. That obsession has led to me running almost every day, doing sets of 50 push-ups in between meetings, and starting on a kettlebell regime. All that has led to me losing some 20kg in the span of a year.
How does this relate to my tailor? Right before the circuit breaker last year, I had some pants made. Then, I weighed almost 90kg. When the pants were delivered, I found them to be rather loose. I could not have them altered as movement restrictions were in place.
By the time Phase 2 was announced, I had spent close to three months in comfortable, stretchy clothes - sweatpants and such. When I tried on the new pants at that moment, to my horror, they were tight, gripping at the waistline and making things look - well, not at their best, to say the least.
