IT'S a strangely addictive sport - some say entertainment - where grown men dressed in colourful gear battle one another in the ring.

Welcome to WWE, short for World Wrestling Entertainment, where larger-than-life wrestlers and scripted storylines keep fans worldwide enthralled.

Fans in Singapore got their first taste of wrestling action in 1991 on then-Channel 5 or by renting video tapes. Now, they watch it every night on cable TV.
